Breastfeeding may not come naturally to you. Troubleshoot your challenges and define your goals in a home visit with Dawnalea Robinson, RN, BSN, IBCLC. Dawnalea is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse caring for the Nashville area. You’ll get personal breastfeeding assistance to meet your own specific needs with compassion, knowledge, and experience from an experienced lactation consultant.
Home Breastfeeding and Lactation Consulting in Nashville, TN and surrounding areas – $150
When I come to you for in home lactation consulting, I’ll spend about an hour and a half working with you and your baby. I’ll perform a comprehensive assessment, including checking for plugged ducts and possible tongue or lip tie, assist you with latch and positioning, counsel you on the normal course of breastfeeding, and provide you with a complete care plan that you can implement at home. I’ll check in with you by phone a few days later to see how you’re doing. Payment is due at the time of service, and I’ll provide you with a superbill for insurance reimbursement. A travel fee may apply for families outside of service area.
Phone Breastfeeding and Lactation Support – $30/30 minutes

Whether you’re already a client of mine, or someone who wants virtual support, a phone call or virtual consult with me will give you clarity on breastfeeding and a plan to move forward. Not eligible for insurance reimbursement.
Adoptive Breastfeeding/Induced Lactation Planning- $75 up to one hour

Pregnancy Consult and 1 on 1 Breastfeeding Class-$75 up to one hour
Let a board certified lactation consultant answer all your questions about breastfeeding before your new baby arrives. This is one on one teaching about breastfeeding and what to expect. Great for the entire family. In home or virtual.
*In 2 separate trials, researchers at the Albert Einstein college of Medicine at Yeshiva University followed 941 women for six months after giving birth, and found that those who regularly received breastfeeding instruction and support from a lactation consultant were about four times more likely to exclusively breastfeed their infant at one month and nearly three times more likely to do so at three months, as compared to women who did not have support.
